These classes are open for everyone to attend Sundays, December 2-30, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m.
Once you have reviewed the classes, please consider letting us know if you are interested in attending by filling out the Interest Form below!
How Did the Gospels Introduce Jesus to Their Readers? | Taught by Crawford Johnson
We will look at how each Gospel introduced Jesus to its readers. What does that say to us today? How does this go with the Christmas story? And how might we use each form when introducing Jesus in today’s world?
Conversations for Jesus | Taught by Raymond Calva
Sometimes it’s difficult to discuss spiritual concepts with friends, family, and even strangers. In this class we will try to overcome those barriers and discuss practical ways to engage in spiritual conversations with others.
Unto Us a Son is Born | Taught by Will McDonald
Join us for an exploration of the Incarnation of Christ using the Old and New Testaments. We will examine the predictions surrounding the coming Messiah, the birth of Jesus, why it is important today, and what it means for our future.
Returning Home, Ruth—An Old Testament Christmas Story | Taught by Jane Lang
When we think of Bethlehem, we focus on the birth of Jesus. But the Old Testament gives another story about the town...the book of Ruth. These two accounts are so intimately tied together that it’s fair to think of Ruth as the prequel to the Christmas story. The parallels between the two Bethlehem accounts are astounding.
It’s Christmas Time Again | Taught by Susan DeLong
How many times have you read the Christmas story from your Bible? Probably quite a few. In this class we are going to read it one more time and transform that scripture into a piece of art. No artistic talent required.
