Masks for Medical Workers
*We are temporarily out of mask kits! If you can purchase the supplies and make them at home, we will continue to collect masks until we can replace our kits. Thanks!*
We have an urgent need request from Presbyterian Night Shelter. The staff and clients there need face masks. They are requesting masks made from blue shop paper towels. These fit well and are disposable.
Use the link below to watch a short tutorial video on how to make these masks.
We have mask kits available for pickup on the UBC Preschool Porch Monday - Friday. This is also where you can drop off the completed masks in a ziplock or other sealed bag. If you pick up a mask kit, the only supplies you will need are below:
If you have questions, please contact Debi at or Chris Whitt at
CarePortal is an online platform that brings the needs of hurting children and families in your community to your attention. Caseworkers uncover the needs. CarePortal makes local churches aware, giving them a real-time opportunity to respond. Please continue to check for needs here as the days unfold, as many families may be struggling to meet the needs of their children.
We are also needing volunteers to help with grief care, online tutoring for refugee children, support for medical care workers and unemployment relief/rent assistance. If you are interested in helping in any of these areas, please contact any of our ministers to see where you can plug in.
