I was born and raised in the great town of Abilene, Texas and was fortunate enough to grow up with an incredible family. After graduating high school, I left Abilene to attend the University of Oklahoma and would later get my Masters of Divinity with an emphasis in cross-cultural studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. My sophomore year at OU I met Jennifer, whom I would later marry in the summer of 2004. She was born and raised in Oklahoma City and also comes from a great family. She is a licensed registered nurse and currently serves as the school nurse at our children's school. We have lived in Oklahoma, California and Texas and are truly best friends. We are blessed with three amazing children -- James, Annabelle and Wu -- who keep our lives fun and full of adventure. After serving as the Director of Global Ministries at First Baptist Arlington, I felt the Lord call me to pastoring and joined the staff at University Baptist in the fall of 2016.
