Discipleship Groups

Disciples who make disciples

One of our key convictions at UBC is to be discipleship focused. It is the heartbeat of what we do. So, the question one might ask is, “What does discipleship look like at UBC?” First and foremost, we believe discipleship should not only impact you as an individual, but it should impact lostness as well. It is our desire that everyone is part of a Discipleship Group at UBC. And this should be our first stop for friends, neighbors or co-workers to interact with our church body of believers!

Sermon: The Work of Discipleship

what is discipleship?

This means we will go beyond our church walls and seek to make a difference in the lives of others who don’t know Jesus. We believe that growing in our own faith should naturally lead us to going and making disciples of others. So, how do we do this? Watch this short video to learn more!

Step 1: Join a Group

We have a number of Discipleship Groups that are currently meeting and open for you to join! These groups meet at different times of the week in different parts of the city.  Some are meeting in person and some are meeting virtually. They also are made up of men, women, couples, and different life stages so that there is space for everyone!

Step 2: Start a Group

If you have been part of a Discipleship Group and are ready to lead your own, we make it easy for you to get started leading others right where you live. This includes inviting your neighbors, co-workers, friends or family together and walking them through the Discipleship Group curriculum. If you would like to learn more about what this looks like at UBC, we want to help! Contact Caroline Poe at
