Your Influence Matters

God is at work in a mighty way in our church, in Fort Worth and in our world. You are an integral part of that work. God intentionally and specifically places people in your realm of relationship and in your area of life. You have influence. You have life within you. You have hope within you. And you are surrounded by a world of people hungry to hear and see that life and hope. People you don’t even know are praying for YOU to share the love of Christ with their loved ones.

Peter writes, “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9)

You are commissioned to live as the people of God, ones who have received great mercy, because you know how precious Jesus is. You chose to live with Christ as the foundation of your every choice. You are a priest in your neighborhood, your PTSO, your workplace, your book club. YOU!

I urge you to live boldly, full of love, mercy and grace toward yourself and toward others. Bask in the relationship God offers to you. Relish the whisper of His voice as you go about your day. Sing a song of praise for His mighty works. And reach out to others with the great love and compassion that He so generously pours out to you.
