Women

Welcome, ladies!

The Womens Ministry at UBC exists to to be a community together so that women never feel they are walking alone. Through the various ministries to women, we strive to  discover ways to reach out, build up, and encourage the women of University Baptist Church and women in our community. We seek to equip women of all ages to mature as followers of Jesus, to connect women through meaningful relationships, and to provide opportunities for women to serve our church and community.

We carry out this mission through these areas:

Women’s Prayer Team
Moms Connect
Book Clubs
Events and Conferences
Missions: At the Well

Missions: At the Well

At the Well is a grassroots ministry from the story in John 4. Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at the well. The woman immediately notices that they are different (Jews vs Samaritan) and Jesus, with his counter cultural perspective, continues to speak to her. He boldly (wasting no time) tells her about living water, something she had never heard of before. Before He knew it, the Bible says that "leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, "Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?" They came out of the town and made their way toward him."

Our hope with At the Well is that we would encounter this living water in Jesus, be transformed and bring others to the well to see for themselves what this living water well is all about. Our focus has historically been on justice around the world, in our own communities, and lives.
