I’m not one to make a big deal about New Year’s resolutions, but there’s something about a fresh start that appeals to me. I appreciate the prompt to refresh and renew. A Channel of Peace

I recently heard for the first time a Catholic hymn, “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace,” based on a prayer often attributed to Saint Francis. The words of the song/prayer have similarities to the text of Isaiah 61, where the prophet speaks of God’s promised blessings through the Messiah to the Church and the Church’s response of praise.
